With over 25 years of experience both internationally and here in Australia, he has a comprehensive understanding of various financing models and seeks to provide tailored packages that meet client needs.

Today Aiden focuses on local projects in Queensland and across Australia that give back to the community and improve people’s quality of life.

Will McKellar


Will’s firsthand experience of supporting family with chronic health conditions has driven his passion for innovation in the care sector.

Originally from Scotland, Will has been central to bringing Saorsa Health to life – a Gaelic term that translates to freedom and liberty.

Prior to establishing Saorsa Health, Will led successful businesses with over 30 employees for almost a decade, where he managed a range of projects in finance, real estate, and property. 

Helen Emery

Chief Executive Officer

Helen has a proven ability to create, develop and operate successful businesses.  She is a skilled and well known leader, with over 25 years experience in the community and disability sector, working in several senior executive roles with NGO and government providers.  Exposure to a number of businesses has given Helen a unique ability to quickly understand the core value drivers of a business and market forces at play.  This allows her to develop and execute strategic growth plans, always with the lens of equity and access.

Helen is passionate about social justice and is determined to help people enact positive changes in their lives.  Helen has the ability to build strong professional relationships and to build services that are responsive and tailored.

As the CEO of Saorsa Health, Helen leads major change and innovative solutions in the goal of transforming the health care system.

Helen’s qualifications include a Master of Disability Studies.

Helen spends her leisure time exploring cuisines and experimenting with molecular gastronomy and sous vide cooking techniques.

Dr Caroline Nicholson PhD.

Director, Operations, Planning and Clinical Lead

Starting as a physiotherapist, Caroline is an experienced health care leader with over 35 years in health systems internationally.

In that time, she has developed ideas into successful processes and systems, and enjoyed roles in clinical care, research, management and as a Board member.

Caroline leans into challenges and is driven by purpose. She has a deep understanding of business, integrated health systems and people. This enables her to lead and develop teams to solve problems and bring positive changes for the greater good. She creates a culture of innovation and enablement underpinned by the organisation’s values and philosophy. She takes pride in my work and always act with integrity.

As part of the Saorsa team Caroline applies her experience, knowledge, and skills to helping realise the goal of transforming the health care system to meet its needs through innovation and evidence.

While not working Caroline keeps active, loves discovering new adventures through travel and generally enjoying family and friends.  Of course, a cool G n’ T or medium bodied red is always a welcome addition.

Dr John Gilmour AM PhD.

Director, Strategic Development

Starting as a physiotherapist in the 1980s, John is an experienced healthcare executive leader with over 40 years in a range of Queensland based health systems.

During this time, he has developed ideas into enabling successful team work and a focus on ethical approaches to improving service delivery through collaboration.  During his healthcare work he has had roles in clinical care, research, management and as a Board member of a number of not-for-profit health related companies.

John approaches work in a positive and proactive manner and is driven by making a difference. This also drives his desire to continue to learn and collaborate with others.  His fundamental belief is to operate consistent to personal values of doing good in society and respecting the dignity of others.  John has always aligned himself with organisations which have a true focus on overarching mission and values.

As part of the Saorsa team, John applies his experience, knowledge, and skills to helping realise the goal of transforming the health care system to meet evolving community needs through innovation and utilising evidence.

While not working John is focused on family and is a tragic old surfer and surf paddler primary on Australia’s best beaches on the Gold Coast

Josh Bussell

Development Manager

Josh Bussell has a combined 9 years in project management and development management across a range of private development projects. He has an Advanced Diploma in Finance with previous experience in Financial Planning and has studied under some of the most successful developers in Australia.

He has experience in development project feasibility, design management, development approval processing, town planning and consultant/team management. He has successfully overseen the approval process of over 20 projects in a range of sectors including residential, land subdivision and SDA.

He is passionate about making positive change and previously ran a volunteer organisation working directly and with schools in providing vulnerable members of the community with essential supplies to help with day to day living.

Deb Oliver

Office Manager

Deb started her career in early childhood and later embarked in a career in real estate, with a focus on Property Management.  After raising a family, she started her own business and completed a Certificate IV in Business (Administration) and Certificate in Microsoft Essentials.

She now uses those skills as Office Manager and customer liaison for Saorsa Health.  Deb is the first point of contact for Participants looking for a place to call home and enjoys engaging with the residents once they have settled in.

On the weekend, you will find Deb out on the water with her husband and her mini Dachshund Lucky, creating original works of art.  “We are currently renovating our houseboat, so most weekends are filled with DIY projects and not so much art! “

Lucky is our Canine Executive Officer and is the official ‘Meeter and Greeter” at Saorsa Health.  She enjoys the company of other staff members, visitors and embarking on adventures to meet the residents…as well as the occasional treat!
